Job summary
Ethos is seeking a Shipping Specialist in Kentucky to verify and prepare outgoing shipments, manage labels and packaging, and ensure regulatory compliance. This full-time, direct-hire role includes benefits and training where needed.
The ideal candidate has hands-on shipping experience and is comfortable operating standard shipping equipment. You will handle documentation, select shipment methods, and maintain an organized shipping area while supporting safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
- Forklift experience is a plus and will train.
- Overhead crane experience is a plus and will train.
- Experience with measurement devices is required.
- Crating or carpentry experience is a plus and will train.
- Export paperwork experience is a plus.
- Understanding SDS/HazCom shipping regulations is required.
Responsibilities
- Verifies and records outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines the method of shipment and affixes shipping labels on cartons.
- Assembles containers and inserts items for shipment; marks crates with shipping information.
- Moves shipments using forklifts or hand-trucks; operates equipment as needed.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies; ensures compliance with regulations.
