Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Shipping Clerk to verify and log, invoice, tag and load shipments, including PSST and R&L orders, in a fast-paced environment. You will interact with customers and internal teams while safely loading trailers and cases of product.

Responsibilities include invoicing accuracy, using the RF unit and Internal Operating System, and meeting deadlines. Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a warehouse.
• Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantity and SKU information.
• Basic math skills for counting and quantity.
• Ability to work with customers and coworkers and maintain a positive attitude.
• Lift Operator Certification may be required every three years.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to learn Internal Operating System(s) and operate RF unit.
• Self-starter with initiative and efficiency, minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient typing and data entry.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Invoice, tag and load customer shipments accurately and on time.
• Verify orders and charges for accurate invoicing and loading shipments, including PSST and R&L.
• Create parcel or freight invoices with accurate shipping charges and deadlines.
• Respond to inquiries by phone or e-mail.
• Manually load pallets on conveyor by lifting and stacking cases safely.
• Use RF unit with the Internal Operating System to perform daily tasks.
• Use the OS to verify shipping details.
• Meet minimum production and accuracy standards and deadlines.
• Check out and return equipment in good condition.
• May operate powered lift equipment after Lift Operator Certification.
