Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Jacksonville, AR seeks a Shipper I on the 1st shift to accurately ship orders and materials in a timely manner.

The role includes handling shipping paperwork, labeling, packing, and using pallet wrapping equipment, with emphasis on ISO procedures and 5S standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; Oracle and Ship Console experience is a plus; strong MS Office skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required, with overtime, holidays, and weekends

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training may be acceptable.
• Oracle and Ship Console experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks; forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute all shipping paperwork, staging, and Oracle/Ship Console functions accurately and timely.
• Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment, checking against sales orders.
• Affixes shipping labels, hazmat labels and packing lists on packed cartons and assembles containers.
• Wraps and binds containers using pallet wrapping and strapping equipment.
• Adheres to ISO standard procedures and 5S workplace standards.
• Report safety concerns to Supervisor or Manager and perform other duties as assigned.
