Job summary

Sage Sustainable Electronics is seeking a Shipping Specialist to prepare packages and process shipments for domestic customers in a fast-paced environment. You will use computers, emails, scanners, and warehouse systems to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of cell phones, tablets, and other electronics.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in shipping/logistics, a high school diploma, and familiarity with UPS/FedEx shipping platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of shipping, logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution experience.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip or FedEx Ship Manager or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Separate and pick orders according to SOPs and customer specs.
• Accurately pick, pack, verify, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Create shipping labels and process shipments via UPS, FedEx and carrier systems.
• Verify quantities, serial numbers, addresses and documentation prior to shipment.
• Maintain accurate reporting and databases to track shipments.
• Work well in a team and keep shipping/receiving areas clean and organized.
• Cross-train to assist Production departments.

This role will work in a fast-paced production environment and must be able to do multiple job functions. This role requires a high attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and has a low margin for error.Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and freight shipments is required. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn proprietary shipping and warehouse management systems, are essential.**Essential Duties:** • Separates and orders according to standard operating procedures and customer specifications. • Accurately pick, pack, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment. • Create shipping labels and process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight carrier systems. • Verify product quantities, serial numbers, shipping addresses, and order documentation prior to shipment. • Processes parcels utilizing automated and proprietary shipping systems • Maintain accurate reporting and databases to support the tracking of each shipment. • Work well in a team environment. • Help maintain the shipping/receiving areas in a clean and orderly manner. • Cross-train to assist Production departments. • Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications** • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1 year of shipping, logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution experience required. • Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar shipping platforms preferred.**Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
