Job summary

Barrett, a global leader in large-caliber rifle design and manufacturing based in Tennessee, seeks a Shipping Specialist to keep operations moving. You will package and ship products, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure orders are prepared and documented accurately for on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, with 2+ years in shipping or warehouse operations, able to audit orders, manage inventory of packing materials, and coordinate carrier pickups.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field required.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and order fulfillment.
  • Ability to package and ship products and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to audit orders and shipping quantities and identify discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Experience coordinating carrier pickups and preparing shipments for transportation.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory of packaging and shipping materials.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shipping, inventory, and ERP (NetSuite) systems.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.

Description

We’re looking for a Shipping Specialist to play a key role in keeping our operations moving by ensuring products are accurately prepared, documented, and shipped to customers and partners on time. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in getting the details right. You’ll work closely with internal teams to coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records, and ensure every order is handled efficiently from preparation through delivery.

About the Role
