Job summary

Barrett is seeking a Shipping Specialist to ensure products are prepared, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. You will coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and carriers to maintain precise shipping records and efficient order fulfillment.

You’ll be organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery across all orders.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years shipping, receiving, or warehouse ops experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Ability to package and ship products and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to audit orders and identify discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for multiple shipments.
  • Effective communication with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Experience coordinating carrier pickups and preparing shipments.

Job description

We’re looking for a Shipping Specialist to play a key role in keeping our operations moving by ensuring products are accurately prepared, documented, and shipped to customers and partners on time. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in getting the details right. You’ll work closely with internal teams to coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records, and ensure every order is handled efficiently from preparation through delivery.

About the Role
  • Packages and ships products and outbound freight accurately and efficiently.
  • Audits orders and shipping quantities to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Assists in identifying and resolving order and shipping discrepancies.
  • Assembles packaging materials and packages merchandise in preparation for shipment.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of packing materials and orders supplies as needed.
  • Coordinates with carriers to schedule timely pickup of goods.
About You

You’re organized, detail-oriented, and take pride in getting the details right. You work well in a fast-paced environment, understand the importance of accuracy when handling shipments, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You’re a dependable team player who takes ownership of your work, communicates effectively, and is always looking for ways to keep the shipping process running smoothly.

  • High School Diploma or GED required .
  • Two (2) years’ experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field required .
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and order fulfillment.
  • Ability to package and ship products and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to audit orders and shipping quantities and identify discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Experience coordinating carrier pickups and preparing shipments for transportation.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory of packaging and shipping materials.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shipping, inventory, and ERP (NetSuite) systems.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
