Job summary

Heyco in Toms River, NJ is seeking a dependable Samples Clerk to process sample requests, prepare shipments, and help with repackaging operations. This role suits someone who values accuracy and provides excellent service to internal and external customers.

The position involves shipping via UPS, FedEx, assembling marketing kits, labeling items, and performing daily post office runs. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; prior shipping/warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping, warehouse, inventory, packaging, or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow written instructions and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication with coworkers and customers.
• Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Process customer and sales team sample requests, ensuring shipment within two business days or sooner.
• Coordinate and ship catalogs, literature, and promotional materials.
• Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping systems.
• Provide shipment confirmations to requestors.
• Assist with assembling and shipping marketing kits, trade show materials, and promotional items.
• Repack products into smaller boxes and bags according to specifications.
• Process small-pack orders using packing slips and packing instructions.
• Label products and shipments accurately.
• Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Follow established quality procedures and departmental processes.
• Support other departmental activities and special projects as needed.
• Perform daily trips to the post office using a company-provided truck to send and collect mail
