Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking team members for the repack role at our Walker, MI plant. You will repack parts, print and label containers, and ensure accuracy to meet customer requirements.

This is a 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM) position with potential overtime on weekends to meet deadlines. A high school diploma, literacy in English, and adherence to safety procedures are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform duties safely.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM) and up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift and move parts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Repack various parts into different containers.
  • Print and label new containers via Plex.
  • Complete one part number at a time.
  • Communicate with supervision on daily objectives and repack requirements.
  • Demonstrate proper lifting techniques.
  • Follow plant rules including dress, hair, and cell phone usage.

Who We Want

Repack team members support production and customer requirements by repacking product from storage container into customer finished goods containers. Team members follow procedures to ensure that customer quality, packaging and labeling requirements are met.

What You’ll Do
  • Repack various parts into different containers.
  • Print and label new containers via Plex.
  • Complete one part number at a time.
  • Communicate with supervision on daily objectives and repack requirements.
  • Demonstrate proper lifting techniques.
  • Understand and follows plant rules including proper dress, hair and cell phone usage.
When and Where

This will be a 3rd Shift / 10PM-6AM Sunday-Thursday position located at our Plant in Walker, MI. Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests. Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including Saturday and Sunday.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
