Job summary

Storyteller Overland, LLC is seeking a Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving to oversee the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials while ensuring accurate shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have warehouse logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment, maintain inventory records, coordinate with carriers, and support the Performance & Accessories division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced position that requires high levels of attention to detail.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Manage the preparation and execution of outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and documentation.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to efficiently move goods throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track material movement using warehouse management systems.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to optimize shipping schedules and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shipping and receiving area.
• Assist in warehouse organization, material staging, and overall logistics coordination.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to contribute to the overall success of the Performance & Accessories division, fostering a culture of teamwork, transparency, and mutual support through proactive cooperation and camaraderie.
• Perform other duties as required to support warehouse operations and efficiency.
