Job summary

Cascade Engineering is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Technician in Grand Rapids, MI for night shift (6pm–6:10am) with a target base salary of $19.17–$26.81/hour plus $1.20 shift premium and quarterly bonuses. You will handle shipping/receiving, BOMs, and production support with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include creating BOLs, inputting receivers, ensuring shipment accuracy, and assisting production and inventory control while maintaining safety and organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or PFC Level B with one-year related experience.
  • Understanding of BOM requirements and processing.
  • Strong CE core competencies (interpersonal skills, emotional maturity).
  • Strong math and communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task while maintaining consistency and accuracy in all work.
  • Understanding of ISO/TS16949 procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including QAD.
  • Inventory control, material handling and cycle counting experience.
  • Valid forklift tag.
  • Able and willing to perform some tasks in an outside environment.

  • Responsible for utilizing all equipment, including forklift, and performing all tasks in a safe manner.

  • Enter in receivers.
  • Participates on cross-function teams.
  • Maintains plant and warehouse organization.
  • Loads and stacks shipments per traffic schedule.
  • Ensures accuracy of shipping requests.
  • Notifies Inventory Team of inventory accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Understands and practices basic FIFO.
  • Transmits ASN's and troubleshoot errors and verify ASN acceptance.

Scope of Position

As a Shipping/Receiving Technician at Cascade Engineering, you will work with a supportive, collaborative and dynamic team while being responsible for all shipping and receiving functions and some production handling support. Additionally, you will be performing receiving procedures to input/receive incoming components. You will work closely with the production team and be responsible for several production support functions.

Shift: Night shift from 6pm - 6:10am (working three days one week, four days the next including every other weekend)

Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $19.17 - 26.81/hour ( plus $1.20 shift premium and quarterly bonus incentive) . Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or PFC Level B with one-year related experience

  • Able and willing to perform some work tasks in an outside environment in all weather conditions
  • Valid Driver's license or be able to use all 4 limbs such as arms, legs (upper and lower limbs), torso/trunk at the shoulder. Have coordination of eyes, hands and feet. Not have any known/documented convulsive disorders and corrected vision (obtain doctor's note verifying proof of the corrected vision)
  • Valid forklift Tag with one year's experience driving forklift
  • Experience maintaining shipping paperwork, BOL's and creating shipments for external customers
