Job summary

Cascade Engineering, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is hiring for a Truck Driver to operate within a tight campus area and support shipping, receiving, and production tasks. The role includes forklift use, coordination with scheduling, and adherence to safety standards.

Shift pattern spans Mon, Thu 7am-3pm and weekends with rotating hours, offering a target base pay of $20.00–$30.00/hour plus shift premium and quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or PFC Level B with one-year related experience.
• CDL-A Driver's License (no restrictions).
• Strong math and communication skills.
• Good customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of ISO/TS16949 procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including QAD - Inventory management system.
• Understanding of BOM requirements and processing.
• Able and willing to perform some work tasks in outside environment in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize all equipment, including forklift, and perform tasks safely.
• Participate on cross-function teams.
• Maintain finished goods warehouse organization.
• Load and stack shipments per traffic schedule.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping requests and pre-shipper records.
• Notify scheduling of inventory levels and discrepancies.
• Understand and practice FIFO - Inventory Rotation.
• Utilize MODs production management tool for scheduling and inventory placement.

Scope of Position

Cascade Engineering (CE) has an opening for a Truck Driver that will be delivering within a 2 miles radius on the Grand Rapids plant campus of CE. It will be driving box truck a couple of days during the week. This position will be responsible for shipping, receiving, switching trailers and some production/handling support.

Location: Buursma Plant (4950 37 th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)

Shift Hours: Monday and Thursday from 7am - 3pm AND Saturday and Sunday from 6am-6pm and the next weekend working from 10am - 10pm (rotating weekends)

Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $20.00 - 30.00/hour (plus $1.00 shift premium plus quarterly bonus incentive) . Requirements

Driving Record Requirement Guidelines

During the previous 3 years

• No more than 4 moving traffic violations (including no more than 1 at-fault accident with citation)
• No speeding (more than 25 mph over the speed limit)

D uring the previous 5 years

• No driving under the influence (DUI) or operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) of drugs or alcohol conviction; or any other alcohol or drug impairment conviction related to driving or operating a vehicle
• No vehicular homicide, manslaughter or assault conviction
• No operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, or history of license suspensions
• No using a vehicle in the commission of a felony
• No operating a vehicle without the owner’s permission
• No reckless driving or speed contests (racing)
• No leaving the scene of an accident (bodily injury or physical damage)
• No eluding a police officer
