Web Industries, Inc. in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician. The role verifies shipments, prepares items for shipment and maintains inventory, with a Monday-Thursday shift and occasional Fridays.

You will operate forklifts, handle cold storage and ensure safety compliance while supporting quality and productivity standards in a hands-on environment.

• High school diploma or GED plus one year of shipping/receiving experience.
• Ability to read/write English and follow instructions, basic math.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Must be able to work on government contracts.

Responsabilidades

Location: Middlesex, VT

Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm with occasional Fridays

POSITION SUMMARY

The shipping and receiving technician position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complete receipt verification for purchasing and customer supplied materials
• Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
• Coordinate proper storage of materials – this includes room temperature and Freezer conditions
• Arrange appropriate packaging for shipping
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
• Monitor freezer temperatures, assist in testing as needed
• Operates forklifts and hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum of a high school education or G.E.D. and one year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be able to work on govemment contracts

Additional PREFERRED Qualifications/Skills:

• Licensed forklift truck operator
• Operation of co-rolling equipment is desirable
