This position is Monday through Friday with the hours being 7am-3:30pm with the potential to work some OT on SaturdayWork ShiftDayScheduled Weekly Hours40SummaryThis position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by receiving, stocking and delivery of supplies and equipment in a timely efficient manner to ensure availability for proper patient care.Job DescriptionJob DutiesMay receive supplies and equipment in an accurate, efficient manner.Stocks supplies in the central storeroom in proper locationsMay deliver non-stock items to the requesting areas.Accurately pulls and delivers stock supplies to requesting areas utilizing Kanban cards, computer requisitions or other means of requisition.Documents returns and issues to ensure inventory accuracy of stock supplies.Works with manager to keep storeroom inventory at accurate, proper, cost effective levels.Works with patient care areas to keep their supply inventories at proper cost effective levels.Stocks Alcoves in patient care areas to appropriate levels of linen and supplies.Properly communicates any shortages to requesting departments.Maintains backorder procedure in MMIS system to ensure timely replenishment of those supplies.Maintains neatness and cleanliness of storeroom and work areas.Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and write.
