Position Details

2nd Shift Only.

Summary

Supervise and coordinate activities of workers involved in verifying, recording, and preparing shipments. Determine priorities, work assignments, shipping methods, and space requirements to meet schedules. Prepare reports based on subordinate reports.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise staff verifying and recording shipments.
  2. Coordinate shipment preparation activities.
  3. Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
  4. Set shipping priorities and methods.
  5. Determine space and truck loading positions.
  6. Ensure compliance with weight limits and routing regulations.
  7. Inspect loading operations and equipment.
  8. Manage movement of shipments within the facility.
  9. Compile and prepare reports on shipping activities.
  10. Maintain records of unfilled orders and shipping charges.
  11. Follow safety procedures including GMPs.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1-2 years in related roles or equivalent education.

Certifications: None required.

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and grievance resolution skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading printed and electronic information.
  • Computer skills, manufacturing software knowledge preferred.

Physical Requirements

Exposure to cold and noise, physical activities including lifting (<50 lbs), climbing, bending, and manual dexterity. Work involves standing, walking, and occasional climbing stairs.

Work Environment

Indoor manufacturing setting with safety gear required. Some office work. Minimal outdoor work.
