Job summary

Tailored Brands is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead the day-to-day shipping, receiving, packing, and inventory control within the Transportation Department at our distribution center. You will plan, direct and coordinate activities to meet safety, quality and on-time delivery goals.

Qualities include strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and experience with warehouse operations, DS and RF scanners.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Must possess minimum 3 years of warehousing and shipping supervisory experience.
• Hands-on with strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn proprietary programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the work of staff in receiving, warehousing and shipping operations to meet customer requirements.
• Review orders, schedules and other information to determine work sequence and shipping dates, type, volume and destination.
• Organize and manage day-to-day operations to ensure shipments are dispatched and picked up by carriers for on-time order fulfillment.
• Determine manpower needed in the department according to volume levels.
• Lead and motivate the workforce and handle employee relations including training, counseling, discipline and conflict resolution.
• Foster positive morale, enhance productivity and maintain a fair work environment in compliance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with all employees regarding routine and safety issues.
• Coordinate and communicate departmental needs with other departments.
• Supervise staff to ensure packages are labeled correctly and ships are accurate and undamaged.
• Supervise receiving and storage to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Improve productivity through process improvement and people development.
• Review shipping notices and documents to determine priorities and methods.
