Job summary

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor for our Goodyear, AZ facility. You will oversee safety, training, and daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring on-time production and accurate material handling.

You will lead continuous improvement efforts, coach a team, manage timekeeping, and coordinate with maintenance and quality. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years manufacturing and 3–5 years supervisory experience are expected, with

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience and 3–5 years in supervision.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to work with a team and mentor others.
• Willingness to work early hours, overtime, or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe work environment in the department and ensure safety training.
• Ensure proper job rotation, housekeeping, and safety policies.
• Lead accident/incident investigations within the department.
• Track and improve line efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Ensure product quality and timely production schedules.
• Enforce policies and issue disciplinary actions when needed.
• Administer company policies and maintain good employee relations.
• Lead monthly continuous improvement projects.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees.
• Maintain vacation calendar and resolve conflicts.
• Manage timekeeping for department staff.
• Conduct monthly department meetings.
• Attend company training to stay updated on management practices.

We currently have an opening for a Shipping/ Receiving Supervisor in our Goodyear, AZ location.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department. Ensure employees have received safety training and are properly using safety devices and equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring proper job rotation, good general housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies and work practices, and procedures.
• Responsible for leading accident/incident investigations for all incidents within the department.
• Responsible for tracking and improving line efficiencies. Line efficiency improvements may involve process and/or line layout changes and making recommendations to reduce labor and material costs.
• Responsible for product quality and accuracy, and the timely completion of production schedules in established priority sequence.
• Maintain conformance with rules and regulations, issue verbal and written warnings when required. Recommend approved disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Administer company policies and maintain a pleasant employer/employee relationship on the highest possible level.
• Lead Monthly continuous improvement projects
• Responsible for training, mentoring and developing employees.
• Maintain the department vacation calendar and resolve vacation conflicts.
• Responsible for timekeeping for the employees in the department.
• Conducts a monthly departmental meeting covering the topics on the Monthly Department Meeting Agenda.
• Attend company-sponsored training classes and special classes to keep abreast of and well-informed on new developments regarding management and supervision, and other job-related courses.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus education.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years of previous experience as a supervisor or manager.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with participating in or leading continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to solve problems with little direction.
• Proven ability to work with a team as well as lead a team.
• Ability to come in early, stay late, or work on the weekends when needed
