Job summary

ProMach's ID Technology division seeks a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to oversee the receiving, shipping and distribution of items, ensuring compliance with safety processes and hazardous materials requirements. You will monitor performance, manage inventory, and supervise staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency across facilities.

The role involves coordinating domestic and international shipments, recording data accurately, and training team members in proper material handling and safety

This position contributes to the success of the company by supervising the receiving, shipping and distribution of all items throughout ID Technology in compliance with all safety processes & hazardous material requirements.

Essential Job Functions

• Oversees the shipment of all materials, both within the US and abroad, both to and from ID Technology.
• Determines method of shipment; Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Calculates most cost-efficient shipping
• Accurately record shipping & receiving data
• Supervises and assists with receiving & unpacking materials & supplies
• Reports and resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
• Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving area; Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection and moved to the proper location.
• Ensures receiving reports accurately report material received
• Provides inventory management support: part numbers, balances, reports & physical inventory, cycle counts
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials & supplies
• Monitors Receiving and Warehouse performance for accuracy of location, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and shipping. Manages and performs the cycle counting process in conjunction with other manufacturing and distribution personnel
• Operates appropriate machinery which may include tier lift truck, hand truck, forklift, etc. to move, convey, hoist shipments to & from shipping & receiving platforms; attends mandatory training on that equipment
• Provides training of proper handling of hazardous materials, equipment, etc.
• Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
• Maintains safety standards, ensures staff has adequate first aid and safety training
