Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a contract position in Louisville, KY. The role focuses on accurate receiving, organizing, and shipping, with duties in picking/packing, inventory control, and using SAP for transactions.

You will operate on either a first or second shift, maintain safe work areas, and support logistics throughout warehouse processes, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Hands-on experience with picking and packing orders in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to perform inventory control tasks, including counting, organizing, and tracking stock.
• Familiarity with logistics processes, including the movement and handling of goods.
• Capability to work effectively on first or second shift schedules as required.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order selection, packing, and documentation.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn or use systems such as SAP for shipping and inventory transactions.

Responsabilités

• Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities and product details against shipping documents and system records.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
• Accurately pick orders from inventory based on picking lists or system-generated orders.
• Pack products securely and correctly to ensure safe transportation and compliance with shipping requirements.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by labeling, staging, and organizing orders for carrier pickup.
• Perform shipping and receiving transactions using systems such as SAP or similar warehouse management tools.
• Support logistics activities by coordinating the movement of materials within the warehouse and to outbound carriers.
• Assist with kitting operations by assembling components or products according to specifications.
• Maintain inventory control by organizing stock, performing counts, and updating records as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, following all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
