Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Michigan is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to handle incoming materials, prepare shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires forklift operation, basic computer skills, and the ability to read packing slips and shipping docs.

You will support production, ensure safety, and maintain timely, accurate handling of goods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including inventory systems, scanners, and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, work orders, and shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Unload and load trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Pick, stage, package, label, and prepare products for customer shipment.
• Complete and maintain shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
• Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper transactions and inventory control practices.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
• Organize and maintain warehouse, storage, and shipping areas.
• Follow customer-specific packaging and shipping requirements.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Support production needs and assist in other departments as required.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
