International Wire Group in Rome, NY is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to coordinate inbound and outbound materials, maintain inventory records, and support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with forklifts and pallet jacks; strong record-keeping and communication skills are required to ensure accurate shipments and timely production support.

Responsabilités

• Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Management
• Prepare materials and finished products for shipments
• Coordinate product transportation and shipping activities
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
• Verify shipment contents and enter information into company systems
• Organize feedstock and reel storage areas
• Ensure proper material storage using FIFO procedures
• Identify wire types and reel sizes
• Visually inspect incoming and outgoing wire for quality and accuracy
• Tag and record incoming wire reels
• Supply production lines with appropriate feedstock
• Weigh and tag scrap boxes and replace with empty boxes
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Complete daily forklift safety inspections
• Read and follow Method Master instructions and production documentation
• Assist production with material movement
• Follow safety, quality, and SOPs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency
• Communicate with supervisors and team across shifts
