Job summary

Hunter Foundry is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage inbound and outbound shipments, verify inventory, and maintain accurate records. You will support warehouse, production, and customer delivery operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments according to company standards.
• Create and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and receiving logs.
• Schedule pickups and coordinate transportation with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight companies.
• Accurately enter shipping and receiving transactions into inventory or ERP systems.
• Maintain organized inventory and warehouse storage areas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and material movement as required.
