Job summary

Leggett & Platt in the United States is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate to support daily warehouse operations. You will verify shipments, document receipts, and prepare outbound orders to ensure accuracy and on-time departures.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ year shipping/receiving or warehouse experience; forklift experience preferred. You will collaborate with customer service, production teams, and inventory control to maintain orderly, safe, and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations experience required (forklift experience preferred).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Document receipt of goods in the inventory management system.
• Prepare, pack, and label outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping standards.
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, missing items, mislabels, and routing conflicts.
• Coordinate with customer service, team leads, and production teams to ensure materials are available and shipments depart on time.
• Maintain up-to-date records of inventory levels and report discrepancies or damages to the warehouse supervisor.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Support additional tasks to ensure business continuity and operational success.
• May require working Saturdays (every 6 weeks) and quarterly inventory.
