Job summary

States Logistics Services, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate clerical tasks for the shipping department. The role ensures shipping documents are processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with vendor and regulatory requirements, including all labeling requirements.

Shift: Mon–Fri 4:00am–12:30pm; overtime may be required. Compensation ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, based on experience and volume demands.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Experience in logistics or shipping roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks in drivers and directs them to appropriate dock doors based on purchase orders.
• Verifies list of products unloaded against purchase orders to identify discrepancies.
• Ensures proper labels and tickets are applied before shipping.
• Prints all bills and assists in resolving discrepancies.
• Collects all documentation and routes to the proper records unit.
• Answers incoming calls from drivers and provides directions to the facility.
• May direct pallet control and the exchange program; participates in cycle counts.
• Updates inbound and outbound schedules accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conducts yard and dock checks.
