Job summary

Southwest Traders, Inc. is hiring a shipping/receiving associate to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare shipping documents, and coordinate transport.

The role requires standing/walking in a warehouse, operating a stand-up forklift and reach truck, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with a team across dry, cooler and frozen environments, ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, and timely processing.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in receiving, preferably in a food distribution environment.
• Experience using a WMS scanning system or similar software.
• Must be able to operate stand-up forklift and reach equipment.
• Must be accurate, honest, organized and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming/outgoing shipments against records and logs.
• Prepare documents such as bills of lading and shipping orders.
• Record shipment data including weight, charges, and space.
• Determine shipping methods and route materials.
• Move materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar devices.
• Communicate to rectify damages, shortages, or nonconformities.
• Maintain warehouse organization and safety standards.
