Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Loxley, AL to join a growing local team. This role combines warehouse operations, inventory control, and administrative duties, with a focus on accurate receiving, timely shipping, and proper documentation.

You will prepare orders, manage paperwork, and use QuickBooks and Microsoft Office while supporting production and customer service efforts. This is a full-time on-site position with consistent daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred
• Experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Professional customer service skills
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment and ensure order accuracy
• Complete shipping paperwork and documentation
• Obtain freight quotes and identify the best shipping rates
• Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Review inbound deliveries and verify items and quantities before accepting shipments
• Sign Bills of Lading and receiving documentation
• Document discrepancies and communicate issues to Purchasing
• Load and unload trucks as instructed
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Office to perform daily job duties
• Collaborate with the Production Manager regarding open orders and shipping schedules
• Communicate directly with customers regarding order status, shipping timelines, and tracking information
• Ensure warehouse organization and efficient movement of materials
