Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions.
• Accurately records quantities of materials received or distributed and maintains documentation.
• Uses computers, barcoding systems, and scanning devices to track inventory.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine required material movement.
• Transport materials between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas using material-handling equipment.
• Sort and store materials according to predetermined sequences.
• Assemble and prepare customer orders from stock and production materials.
• Package materials following established packaging standards.
• Label materials with identifying information using barcoding equipment.
• Open crates and containers using appropriate hand tools.
• Accurately record quantities and maintain documentation.
• Use barcoding systems and scanning devices to enter and verify inventory records.
• Compile worksheets and tickets based on customer specifications.
• Load materials onto trucks using forklifts per work orders.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and cycle counts.
