Job summary

Transwest Truck Trailer and RV in Colorado is seeking a Shipping, Receiving & Parts Warehouse Clerk to receive freight, maintain inventory, pull parts for production and service, and prepare outgoing shipments. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, staging materials, maintaining records, operating forklifts, and collaborating with production, service, and inventory teams to ensure order accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with inventory systems.
• Lift truck certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming freight and ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Verify shipment quantities, part numbers, and condition against PO, packing slips, bills of lading, or invoices.
• Document shortages and discrepancies and report to inventory manager.
• Stage or quarantine incoming materials for inspection.
• Unpack, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Record receipts, stock locations, inventory movements, and shipments in systems.
• Pull and prepare parts for production work orders, service requests, customer orders, and intercompany transfers.
• Pack, wrap, label, and stage outgoing orders for delivery or shipment.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate freight pickups.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas.
• Follow PPE and safety procedures.
• Communicate with production, service, parts, and inventory personnel to support timely order fulfillment.
• Participate in continuous improvement to improve safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

We are seeking a Shipping, Receiving & Parts Warehouse Clerk to receive incoming freight, maintain accurate inventory, pull parts for production and service, and prepare outgoing shipments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive incoming freight and ensure delivery vehicles are positioned safely for loading and unloading.
• Verify shipment quantities, part numbers, and condition against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, or invoices.
• Identify, document, and report shortages, discrepancies, and damaged merchandise to the inventory manager.
• Stage or quarantine incoming materials for inspection according to established procedures.
• Unpack, sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations, handling fragile merchandise with care.
• Accurately record receipts, stock locations, inventory movements, and shipments in inventory and logistics systems.
• Pull and prepare parts and materials for production work orders, service requests, customer orders, and intercompany transfers.
• Pack, wrap, label, and stage outgoing orders for delivery, transfer, or shipment according to established procedures.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents and coordinate freight pickups as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and the investigation of inventory discrepancies.
• Complete required production, quality, inventory, and shipping records accurately and promptly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, storage, loading, and shipping areas.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate with production, service, parts, and inventory personnel to support timely order fulfillment.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Activities require a full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• The position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds.
• The position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
• Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
• Ability to understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.
• Require lift trucks certification and basic knowledge of warehousing equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent customer relations and teamwork abilities while upholding a professional demeanor.
• They must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and may be frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.
• Able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
