Shipping & Receiving and Painting Associate – Swing shift: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Use powered industrial vehicles and crane systems to move materials.
- Ensure all materials are labeled, packaged, and shipped according to work instructions and guidelines.
- Prepare export documents, bills of lading, packing lists, and miscellaneous forms.
- Use air and motor freight systems, practices, rates, and routing to select the most practical and economical shipment method.
- Facilitate purchases for shipping supplies.
- Prepare, expedite, dispatch, pick, and load shipments appropriately.
- Complete paperwork related to inspections and production reporting.
- Document incoming and outgoing goods or products to work standards.
- Verify product quantity and ensure raw parts and materials are stored safely in the proper location.
- Create crates, skids, boxes, and prepare products for shipment.
- Understand and facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
- Perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles.
- Clean equipment and work area to 5S Lean principles.
- Prep cylinders for paint per order face and load onto paint conveyor.
- Paint product with an air mix spray gun and water‑based paint of various colors.
- Daily setup, shutdown, and clean‑up of paint system, paint booth and related materials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Ability to multitask and organize work priorities.
- Work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Prior forklift experience.
- Prior use of over‑head crane/hoist.
- Prior experience in shipping/receiving.
