Job summary

Itape in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler for the 11pm–7am shift. You will move supplies, stage finished goods, track inventory, and prepare materials for production in a fast-paced plant environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2+ years of manufacturing experience, a Powered Industrial Truck license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with basic computer skills and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience, including powered industrial truck experience.
• Licensed for Powered Industrial Truck usage under IPG protocols.
• Must meet objectives with minimum supervision.
• Basic computer skills, math skills, and English written communication skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Ability to consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing powered industrial trucks, moves raw materials to the production lines, organizes assigned work area, and stages finished product as per instructions from supervisor.
• Tracks and sorts inventory while loading trailers for outbound shipment and assures accuracy of materials and products entering and exiting production facility
• Completes required paperwork
• Relieves in production as assigned and trained
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Position Description

Title: Material Handler

Department: Operations

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Purpose: The Material Handler moves supplies throughout the plant.
