Job summary

The Crosby Group is seeking a Material Handler- A in Jacksonville, AR to support shipping, receiving, and inventory control for our manufacturing operations. You will identify parts, store materials, and issue items for work orders, while maintaining accurate records and safe handling practices.

Qualification includes a High School Diploma or equivalent and forklift training; 2 years of material handling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years' Material Handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Meet all qualifications for "B" Class.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive, identify, store, and disburse materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Make accurate counts and computer entries; fill out necessary paperwork; tag and route shipments via the proper carrier.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently if properly trained.
• Lift 1 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Reach, bend over, twist, stand, or walk for long periods of time to pull parts, replenish stocking locations, cycle count, load parts on pallets, and remove parts from boxes.
• See, read, and write to comprehend safety warnings, work orders, special instructions computer readouts, CRT screen, and to complete inventory control documents, cycle counts, etc.
• Communicate with supervisors, inspectors, etc.
• Be able to learn and have a long term memory to identify and locate parts and equipment, to utilize the computer, and do many other functions of the job.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are important to maintain manufacturing schedules.
• Will be exposed to some dust, smoke, and fumes normal to any manufacturing environment.
