Job summary

MCPc Incorporated is seeking a Logistics Center Technician to perform shipping, receiving, inventory and general warehouse duties in our Ohio facility. You will provide high level service to internal and external customers while ensuring accurate processing of shipments and materials.

This entry-level role requires a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate basic warehouse equipment. Travel may be required occasionally; safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• This is a hands-on entry-level position that will provide MCPc a dedicated individual to support team workload.
• A High School Diploma or GED, with demonstrated work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Valid Driver's License (less than 6 points on license to adhere to insurance requirements).

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determine most economical and efficient shipping method based on customer requirements.
• Select appropriate shipping container; pack items to ensure safe delivery.
• Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped/received against work orders to ensure correct quantities, destinations, and shipping locations are correct.
• Use scan gun to receive and pick items in the shipping process.
• Basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
• Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders; escalate discrepancies to leadership.
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify leadership or appropriate internal team of issues for resolution.
• Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, cardboard crusher and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• May operate company vehicle to deliver shipments as requested.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
• May assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area and general facility
• Maintain a secure facility at all times including monitoring inbound/outbound materials and personnel.
• Occasional travel may be required.
