Job summary

Daily's Premium Meats in Saint Joseph, MO, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead the shipping area, ensuring accurate orders and safe, efficient operations. You will train staff, verify bills of lading, oversee inventory, and coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies, while meeting deadlines and upholding company policies.

The role requires high school level education with 3+ years in shipping/material handling, forklift and pallet jack proficiency, and strong Excel

Qualifications

High school or equivalent education with 3+ years shipping and/or material handling and inventory experience.
Food industry experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English; write routine reports; present information.
Computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills; forklift and pallet jack proficiency.

Responsibilities

Prepares and verifies shipping documents; ensures quantities and routing match orders.
Receives, unloads, and inventories materials; compares packing slips to orders.
Sorts, logs, and packages inventory shipped or received; logs discrepancies.
Inspects shipments for damages and notifies supervisor or purchasing.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments; secures authorized signatures for accepted items.
Leads, trains, and guides shipping area staff; maintains records and reports.
