Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead in St. Johns, MI. This role leads shipping operations, ensuring accurate receipts, packing, labeling, and timely outbound shipments for manufacturing partners.

Candidates should have 3+ years in shipping/receiving, forklift certification, and experience with shipping software. This is an on-site opportunity with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and team training.

Qualifications

Must have at least three years in shipping, receiving, or warehouse in manufacturing.
Prior lead or supervisory experience on a small team is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders accurately.
Experience with shipping software and inventory systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks and verify counts with drivers before signing off.
Enter receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments in the warehouse system.
Resolve shipment errors, carrier delays, and inventory discrepancies with purchasing and production.
Train new team members on loading, paperwork, and safety procedures.
Open the shipping area and review the day’s outbound orders and inbound deliveries.
Assign work to shipping and receiving staff and confirm coverage for each shift.
Check incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders and note shortages or damage.
Prepare outbound shipments with correct labels, paperwork, and loading plans.
