Westfall Technik Inc. in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk Lead to coordinate and manage all shipping, receiving and transfer activities. You will oversee carrier bookings, cycle counts, and IQMS data entry while ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods and accurate paperwork.

This role partners with production and warehousing to optimize flow and inventory accuracy. We value detail-oriented team players who can work overtime and weekends, maintain safety standards,

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Experience with Word, Excel and ERP/MRP software.
• Knowledge of COO/COAs and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping/receiving/transfer activities, including carrier booking.
• Prepare paperwork for domestic and international freight and liaise with brokers and carriers.
• Ensure finished goods are shipped on demand and avoid delays.
• Enter shipments into the IQMS system.
• Train and backfill for warehouse positions as needed.
• Maintain safety and 5S in warehouses.

We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk Lead with the below qualifications:

Summary of Role

The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating & managing all shipping/receiving/transfer activities (including carrier booking/scheduling), coordinating cycle counts to meet the company objectives, initiating & reviewing inventory cycle count results, collaborating with production to meet production needs and ensuring finished products be properly staged in the warehouse area, loaded and shipped correctly and that all necessary paperwork for the shipment has been completed. The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is also responsible for receiving products/packages into the facility by entering it into the IQMS system.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Communicate daily activities to the shipping and receiving team.
• Direct and handle all trucks coming into plant/warehouses.
• Arrange domestic and international freight and prepare all necessary paperwork; Communications with Custom's Brokers, vendors, customers & drivers.
• Ensure finished quality products are shipped to customers on demand—avoiding delays and missed shipments.
• Responsible for taking samples of raw materials (where applicable) prior to unloading bulk material into the facility (i.e. Silos).
• Perform inspection of items as specified.
• Schedule, initiate, and ensure warehouse team completes cycle counts per company objectives. Analyze findings.
• Record-keeping of safety and cleaning forms for warehouses.
• Provides reports and statistical data of all activities.
• Assist the warehouses with maintaining 5S.
• Train and become proficient with the IQMS system.
• Troubleshoot situations as they arise.
• Backfill for warehouse positions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• 2 plus years experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Data entry, record-keeping, typing and 10-key experience
• Experience with Word, Excel, logistics portals, ERP/MRP software (IQMS a plus)
• Experience with import and export shipments – i.e. customs documentation
• Strong understanding of COO and COAs
• Knowledge of Understands Incoterms, IOR, USMCA, etc
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills – via email, phone, and/or in-person
• Ensure that machine safety devices are not altered or defected
• Maintains a clean and safe work area clear of obstacles and/or scrap product, tools, etc.
• Ensures that all safety procedures are followed
• Must always use correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
