Job summary

Reliant Systems Inc. is seeking a Shipping Receiving Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of raw, finished, and serviced products. You will perform shipping/receiving, inventory control, and cycle counts while using the MRP system for transactions.

Ideal candidates have warehousing experience, are fluent in English, and can lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires fulltime hours at our Zimmerman, MN facility with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation training/certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, package, and move products per company policies.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling for safe delivery to customers/vendors.
• Verify incoming/outgoing shipments against Purchase Orders and Sales Orders; resolve discrepancies.
• Complete material transactions via MRP system and prepare shipping documents.
• Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies; work with management.
• Perform cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, and WIP as needed.
• Unload/load vehicles with forklifts/pallet jacks; organize storage areas.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $27.00 Hourly

General Description:

The Shipping/Receiving/Inventory (S/R/I) Specialist is responsible for the overall organization, receiving, and distribution of raw, finished, and serviced products according to company policies, guidelines, and practices.

This is accomplished through the following essential functions:

Shipping/Receiving

• Receives, inspects, stores, packages, and transports products (including material transactions via MRP system) according to company policies, procedures, work instructions, and verbal instruction from the supervisor to meet all daily shipping requirements.
• Ensures proper packaging and labeling of shipments to customers/vendors for safe and efficient delivery (i.e., wrapping individual pieces, boxing, and palletizing).
• Receives, inspects, accepts, unpacks, and verifies material against Purchase Orders.
• Verifies incoming/outgoing shipment accuracy vs. Purchase/Sales Orders and resolves discrepancies that are identified.
• Ensures the receipt and issuance of material is accurately completed on a timely basis to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations.

MRP System Usage

• Completes all material transactions (issuance and receipt) via MRP system as required.
• Prepares documents for shipping and receiving as appropriate.

Communication

• Documents and notifies shipper and shipping carrier of any damages during shipping/receiving as well as internal company stakeholders.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills while working with co-workers, guests, vendors, and customers.
• Demonstrates forward thinking by identifying problems, suggesting solutions, and executing solutions.
• Pulls and delivers requested materials to internal and external suppliers / customers.
• Identifies and works with management to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Performs cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, and Work in Process (WIP) to ensure inventory accuracy, as necessary.

Organization

• Unloads and loads delivery vehicles using forklifts and pallet jacks as well as moves materials in storage areas, as necessary.
• Organizes material storage space as needed to accommodate all materials and products.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and organized work environment.

Other

• Performs other tasks assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Successfully complete training and certification in forklift operation.
• Speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Flexibility to work overtime as business needs dictate.
• Able to sit and/or stand for at least two (2) hours at a time; sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel, and climb.
• Able to climb stairs.
• Able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals.
• Able to lift 50 pounds from floor level to overhead locations.
