Job summary

CHASE Staffing seeks a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Atlanta, GA, with 1–3 years in manufacturing shipping/receiving. You will operate forklifts, use SAP, prepare orders, and coordinate shipments with carriers and the warehouse. Strong written and verbal communication is required.

Work hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with Saturdays as needed. The role includes safety compliance and following quality procedures. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment in shipping/receiving.
• Forklift operation (sit down and high lifts) experience required; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of standard shipping and receiving procedures.
• Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Receive inventoried and non-inventoried materials according to plant work instructions.
• Prepare and stage customer orders; load materials; process orders as shipped in SAP.
• Maintain warehouse and loading docks in a safe, organized fashion.
• Coordinate with customer service, carriers, and off-site warehouse for deliveries.
• Coordinate pickup of scrap material and waste dumpsters.

Shipping and Receiving Associate Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed) Pay Rate: $18.00

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Receive inventoried and non-inventoried materials according to plant work instructions.
• Prepare and stage customer orders as per pick lists; load materials onto a variety of different truck types; process orders as shipped in SAP.
• Maintain the Shipping & Receiving warehouse, loading docks and outside storage areas in a safe and organized fashion at all times.
• Complies with all occupational safety and health practices and policies.
• Complies with Quality System procedures.
• Use SAP to perform the following: print pick lists, BOL’s, and PO reports; process shipments; process deliveries; look up PO’s, orders, and shipments as needed.
• Use a personal computer to look up scheduled shipments on the CH Robinson website.
• Prepare and process parcel shipments using the UPS software.
• Communicate with customer service, the carriers, and the off-site warehouse as needed to coordinate deliveries and shipments.
• Coordinate pickup of scrap material (pallets, plastic, totes, etc.) and waste dumpsters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in one or more of the following areas: shipping, receiving, traffic or shipping/receiving clerical.
• Forklift operation (sit down and high lifts) experience required. Forklift certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of standard shipping and receiving procedures.
• Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
