Job summary

FALCATA is seeking an Experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Huntsville, AL location to support our production division. The role focuses on receiving materials, ensuring PO accuracy, and timely shipping of finished goods to meet production and marketing schedules.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years in warehouse operations, proficiency in inventory systems, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years in warehouse operations.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience with inventory management systems and CostPoint preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from vendors and ensure proper transfer to inventory.
• Verify purchase orders, ensure quality and timely shipping of goods.
• Maintain security and accountability of materials and items.
• Support production schedules and coordinate packaging and shipping.
• Maintain documentation reflecting department effectiveness.

Job description

FALCATA is seeking an Experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk located in our Huntsville, AL location to support our production division.

Responsibilities

• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
• Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct.
• Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.
• Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules.
• Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.
• Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in a similar role involving warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving tasks.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
• Precision in counting, verifying orders, and checking for accuracy in shipments.
• Experience using CostPoint
• Ability to maintain clear records and ensure proper documentation
• Efficiency in processing orders and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and clients.
