Join to apply for the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator I role at Liberty Diversified International

Supporting successful shipping and receiving operations at Liberty Packaging, you will be responsible for planning shipments based on product availability and customer requests, tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries, and preparing shipping documents. This role emphasizes safety, technology, process improvement, and freight management.

This full-time position reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and is located at our Rock Island, IL, manufacturing facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop load plans with the shipping and receiving supervisor based on customer needs, freight availability, and trailer utilization for local and out-of-state transportation.
  2. Review customer release dates and coordinate deliveries with the Production Planner/Scheduler and Customer Service team.
  3. Guide, structure, and prioritize the shipping and receiving team to load trailers efficiently.
  4. Prepare, review, and retain documentation such as shipment records, load sheets, and bills of lading.
  5. Identify and notify relevant teams of discrepancies in materials versus records.
  6. Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of materials through carriers.
  7. Schedule delivery appointments with external customers and reschedule missed appointments as needed.
  8. Communicate with the customer service team regarding priority loads.
  9. Perform inventory cycle counts and generate reports, participating in physical inventory processes.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, or 1+ years of experience in production shipping/receiving, forklift operation, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for correspondence, spreadsheets, and reporting.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay range is $18.23 – $22.79 per hour, with potential for above-market pay based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) matching, profit sharing, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, tuition assistance, wellness resources, and financial advising.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular movement including sitting, standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
