Job summary

Dexter is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to keep freight moving in our warehouse environment. This hands-on, fast-paced role collaborates with the warehouse team, drivers, and office staff to plan, load, and deliver shipments correctly.

Applicants should have at least two years in shipping, be organized, and comfortable solving issues with carriers. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of shipping experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience scheduling loads and coordinating freight with carriers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain issues clearly.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee outbound shipments and daily truck loads.
• Build daily shipping plans, set priorities, and keep freight moving on time.
• Coordinate large or special shipments to meet customer and order needs.
• Track shipments and fix issues when delays or problems come up.
• Keep accurate shipping records, logs, and schedules.
• Document customer issues and resolutions.
• Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and internal teams throughout the day.
• Help with training records and basic reporting.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
• Handle other tasks or projects as needed to support operations.
