Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage outgoing shipments, inspect loads for accuracy, and train team members in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The role may involve shipments outside the US contiguous border.

The candidate will build documentation, label shipments, and participate in problem resolution while supporting a reliable, efficient shipping operation.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 4 years in a shipping department.
• Minimum 2 years in a distribution environment.
• Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.
• Strong math and documentation abilities.
• Solid organizational skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Sends shipments and creates paperwork for outgoing deliveries.
• Inspects shipments to ensure they are undamaged.
• May ship to locations outside the US contiguous border.
• Investigates problems and resolves discrepancies.
• Labels shipments prior to loading.
• Trains new teammates in the shipping department.
• Other duties may be assigned.
