Magna Exteriors in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare paperwork for domestic and export shipments, verify documents, and coordinate carrier pickups. You will input data into the system, monitor ASNs, and file claims as needed, while maintaining a neat, compliant work area.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, good communication and math skills, and willingness to work OT and weekends. Experience with AIM is a plus and 401(k) with match is offered.

Job Responsibilities

General Job Duties

Prepares paperwork for both domestic and export shipments and coordinates with freight carriers to ensure that product is shipped out correctly and in a timely manner.

Maintains filing systems and completes controlling documents pertaining to shipping. Receives materials and record/distribute as required

Specific Job Duties

• Receives all incoming parts and materials, completing all appropriate paperwork
• Verifies packing lists/manifests
• Inputs data into the computer system, separated documents for distribution or data input
• Originates and distributes Defective Material Reports if material does not meet specifications.
• Disperses parts and materials to assigned areas
• Verify SDS is on file for all Hazardous Waste materials received
• Operates Pallet Jack to move material
• Prepares shipping documents for all domestic and export shipments without assistance or error.
• Set up carriers for shipment pick-up. (LTL)
• Coordinates trailer movements with trucking company.
• Create and print bar code labels.
• Solve Bill of Lading exception problems.
• Identifies hazardous materials for shipment.
• Monitor status of ASNs at Nascote and in Ford DDL (and other customer specific software) screen and take appropriate action independently
• Expedite or trace hot shipments
• Monitor movement of transfer loads
• Files claims with carriers as required
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required
• Orders and maintains office supplies for area
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Participates in department meetings
• Submits cost reduction and Innovation ideas
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Skills/Experience Required

• Must have good computer skills including use of AIM system.
• Must work well with others.
• Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Must have good math skills.
• Must have good ability to create spread sheets.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
• Must be self-disciplined and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be willing to work OT and weekends as required.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.

Educational Requirements

Required - High School diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

Preferred - A.S. degree in related courses.

Must be able to at least meet the physical demands as defined by the current production requirements and the job function.
