Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments.

Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Duties:
  • Must be able to safely load and unload flatbed/van trucks.
  • Preparing product and paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Packaging items and products.
  • Checking orders for accuracy.
  • Operating warehouse equipment.
  • Organizing and cataloging inventory.
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Reads blueprints and assembly instructions.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Shipping and receiving experience required.
  • Assembly experience preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for eight to ten hours a day.
  • At least two years of experience operating a forklift.
  • Team Player - Contributes effectively to team performance and supports team members.
  • Problem Solving - The ability to work through the details of a situation to reach a solution.
