Job Overview

We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. The clerk will unload packages, check contents to ensure they match the orders, and maintain accurate records while updating inventory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Unload packages from incoming trucks
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
• Contact Purchasing/Quality if a mistake is identified
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Qualifications

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
• Experience operating forklifts
• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
• Basic math and recording abilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Good physical condition
• High school diploma

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment. It routinely utilizes material handling equipment and various tools and machinery.

Physical Demands

The employee must lift up to 50 pounds, work with various materials, bend at different heights, work in various temperatures, and remain on their feet for an extended period of time.
