Job Purpose:The Shipping/Receiving Clerk I at COIL SPECIALIST INC is responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role ensures that all shipping and receiving operations are conducted accurately and timely, supporting the company's logistics and inventory management processes.Key Responsibilities:Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and company standards.Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and documentation, to ensure timely delivery to customers.Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions, utilizing company software and systems.Collaborate with inventory control staff to manage stock levels and ensure proper storage of materials.Communicate with vendors and carriers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any shipping discrepancies.Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.Support the logistics team in optimizing shipping and receiving processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:Minimum of 1 year experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.Required Skills and Abilities:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and receiving goods.Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software.Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external vendors.Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds, as part of regular duties.Knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance standards.
