Job summary

Mattr is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving on the shop floor, ensuring safe operations, timely goods movement, and accurate documentation. The role involves coordinating product transport, aligning with DSG targets, and upholding 5S and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in warehouse shipping/receiving, strong MS Office skills, and a solid understanding of road/rail transport rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of practical warehouse experience in shipping/receiving.
• Knowledge of road and rail transportation rules and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• HSE or SMS training is an asset.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping/receiving operations while following safety policies.
• Help achieve monthly shipping targets and timely goods movement.
• Receive goods and distribute to accounting and other departments.
• Identify quality-related issues and escalate promptly.
• Schedule carriers for on-time customer delivery and ensure policy compliance.
• Communicate with internal/external customers to resolve requests.
• Prepare daily docs: BOLs, customs and ocean freight paperwork.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain work area using 5S principles.
• Train new/junior staff on safe, efficient practices.
