Job summary

ACTIA Electronics in Romulus, Michigan is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of shipments while maintaining inventory records and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, updating delivery dates, and assisting in warehousing tasks. This position is non-exempt and follows a Monday–Thursday schedule, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong math and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to interface with internal departments at all levels.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Basic arithmetic in all units of measure is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.
• Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records.
• Update system lead times, delivery dates, and pricing.
• Supply electronic components to the manufacturing line.
• Assist in receiving goods into the warehouse.
• Prepare and package goods for shipment according to specs.
• Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer balances.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
