Job summary

Chart, Inc. is hiring for an on-site material handler in New Iberia, LA. The role focuses on shipping/receiving, material handling, and safe operation of forklifts to support fabrication and assembly processes.

You will move materials, read CMTRs, and ensure proper safety practices while meeting tight schedules. This position requires a high school diploma and forklift experience, with opportunities to grow within a high-growth industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience/knowledge in Shipping and Receiving.
• General knowledge of fabrication tools and parts.
• Forklift operating experience required.
• Education may be substituted by extended experience.

Responsibilities

• Move material and products utilizing forklifts (large and small) and other methods.
• Work with proper safety and housekeeping practices and guidelines.
• Identify material from bill of material and/or cut lists.
• Gather material from stock or from storage after prepatory operations and deliver it to the points of assembly in the sequence required to meet assembly schedules.
• Must be able to read and interpret CMTR to check in material per customer specifications.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
• Works with minimum supervision.
• Add’l duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

This position is on site in New Iberia, LA.

The starting rate is estimated for 23.50.
