Job summary

Creative Safety Supply in Piney Flats, TN, is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk I to join our Warehouse team.

This full-time, in-office position pays $18.00–$21.00 per hour and offers generous PTO, 401(k) with company match, and comprehensive benefits.

You will receive goods, verify counts, record shipments, prepare bills of lading, load/unload trucks with hand trucks, and support daily warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 1–2 years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills (basic English required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and verify counts/quality; report discrepancies promptly.
• Verify and record all items loaded for shipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, including returns and dunnage.
• Verify packaged items before shipping to customers.
• Update shipment data for order accuracy and billing purposes.
• Prepare bills of lading and shipping tickets.
• Load and unload trucks using hand trucks, and carts.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

The Details

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk I
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Shift/Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday; 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
Location: In Office (Not eligible for remote work)
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 / Hour DOE

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for long periods
• Ability to move around the warehouse and operate heavy machinery as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with fluorescent lighting
• Regular interruptions and moderate noise levels
