Job summary

Monoflo International, Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk I to supervise unloading inbound deliveries and process receiving according to our procedures. You will also handle outbound small package shipments and assist the warehouse team.

The role requires forklift experience, accurate data entry, and ability to lift 40 lbs. Proficiency in IQMS and Excel is preferred.

Job description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the supervision of unloading all inbound deliveries into Monoflo VA Facilities. Following the Receiving Process, the Receiving Clerk I will receive, inspect and accept deliveries of purchased items for Monoflo International. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I is also responsible for all outbound small package shipments via UPS or other similar provider (small order shipments and sales samples).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving Responsibilities

• Operate a Fork Truck for movement of deliveries/materials
• Physical Receiving
• Unload trucks
• Assist LTL delivery drivers in loading and unloading of containers
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Inspect labels to ensure Item #’s are located/printed on the core of each roll
• Sign carrier paperwork, packing slips and document shortages, damages, etc.
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Identify and label items going back to Baker with Requestor information
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
• Keeping assigned sections of the department clean and orderly
• Assist warehouse team with picking, pulling and putting away component items being sent to or returning from the production plant
• Other duties as assigned by Shipping/Receiving Clerk II and/or Warehouse Manager
• Loading of outbound trucks
• Labeling work orders as needed

Shipping Responsibilities

• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipments
• Repacks inbound shipments for outbound orders for immediate shipment via small package carrier
• Stages outbound shipments for small carrier pick-up
• Stages and applies labeling for Less than Truck Load (LTL) shipments
• Maintains clean and safe isle ways in designated zone and designated dock area
• Assists with the loading and unloading of trailers as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
• IQMS
• Microsoft Excel
• Advanced math and recording skills
• Demonstrates ability to work independently within parameters set forth by Warehouse Manager; take and follow direction
• Be able to consistently lift 40lbs
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience in operating forklifts
• Successfully pass the Fork Truck certification
