Maintain necessary records and security for the dock area regarding building access. Responsible for the cylinder inventory process, operation and maintenance of poster printer and copy machine. Will serve on the ChE Safety Committee and conduct building inspections. Assist the Building Deputy and Senior Maintenance Mechanic with any needed moving of furniture, equipment, or preparations for events.

What You'll Be Doing
SHIPPING & RECEIVING
In charge of shipping and receiving for the School. Responsible for sending and receiving all items and/or materials as School employees require. Sends equipment out to be repaired, as instructed by faculty and graduate students. Receives equipment, checks to ensure order is correct, and notifies requestor of received items. Prepares packages and mail as needed for Campus mail pickup. Maintains log of all items. Handle hazardous chemicals every day which require special handling. Chemicals requiring refrigeration are taken to a secure location until picked up. Sorts and distributes US and Campus mail for School. Responsible for cylinder inventory, records all cylinders received and sent back and sends monthly reports with the outstanding cylinders. Maintains security for the back dock area. Doors are to remain locked when not in copy room. Wears pager for notification when someone needs access for delivery. Work with the Executive Officer, Operations Coordinator, Building Deputy, and the Senior Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the facilities are functional, clean, well maintained and safe for all occupants to perform their normal activities
MAINTENANCE
Assist the Building Deputy and Senior Maintenance Mechanic with any needed relocation of equipment or maintenance needed in the building. Move office and laboratories, prepare and install furnishings and equipment. Move furniture to prepare for School events. To a certain extent, serve as back-up for Senior Maintenance Mechanic and Building Deputy. Serve on the ChE Safety Committee and conduct building inspections as well as safety training when needed.
COPY CENTER
In charge of operating and maintaining the poster printer and copy machine for Chemical Engineering. The majority of the poster jobs are requested on an ASAP basis. Prioritizing is essential to get these out timely. Reproduces confidential material as requested and run jobs requiring special attention, i.e., certain weight paper, paper color, etc. Maintains a record of inventory and orders all materials relative to the operation of the print shop and receiving area. Requests major maintenance of all equipment with approvals. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of materials being copied and/or distributed. Prepares monthly reports for the copy-center code uploads and interacts with business office to create new codes as needed.
PURCHASING
Responsible to receive all the purchase orders received in the shipping area. Act as back-up for placing purchase orders in when the Business Office needs help.
